I read a bunch of other messages like mine, and wondered if anybody actually got a loan...? Please listen - we are not deadbeats. My husband lost his job and we were living off unemployment and my measly salary for almost a year until he could find another job. It sucked! We came dangerously close to losing our home. We had no choice but to file Chapter 13 bankruptcy. We chose chapter 13 because it's actually a "restructuring" of our debt. The way I look at it, we owe it, we'll pay it back. He's got a great job now, but WE CAN'T FINANCE ANYTHING UNTIL NEXT YEAR! Both of our cars have over 200,000 miles on them. We need at least one newer vehicle, but nobody will touch us until we're out of the bankruptcy. Our vehicles are constantly breaking down and it's taking just about all we have to keep them on the road. If we lose our vehicles, we'll lose our jobs, then the whole rotten cycle starts over again. I've managed to save a little money for a down payment, but I NEED A LOAN! Can anybody help me? I just need about $3,000, which I will pay back with interest in about 18 months or so. Please... We've got a 10 year old son, and we don't want to lose our house. I'm so sick of my van breaking down and my son and I having to walk for help. I'm also sick of crying about this crap.
